How long have you lived in the Northern California?
I grew up in the East Bay and moved to the North State for college. I have lived in Chico since 2016.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
There was a good-sized group of kids that were my age that lived in my neighborhood. We would play sports and other games outside pretty much every day.
What subject(s) did you study at College?
I started college as a Criminal Justice major with intentions of joining the police force upon graduation. After my freshman year, I switched my major to Business Administration and ended up double majoring in Business Administration and Accounting.
What was your first job?
My friend and I started a lawn mowing business when we were young that lasted a couple months. My first actual job was at a car wash. I worked the cashier booth and the detail center.
Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
My wife has always supported me and my career decisions starting all the way back in college, so she has definitely been the most influential person to my career.
How has your career created value in your life?
My career has taught me grit and perseverance. It has also helped me build confidence.
What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?
The attack on our country on September 11, 2001.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
My wife and I spent two weeks in Thailand in 2017. We stayed in Airbnbs throughout our stay and got to really experience the culture. It was an amazing country and we can’t wait to go back.
What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
I played soccer in college and my senior year, in a tied game against our rivals with minutes left in the game, a ball got deflected off my foot and into our own goal. It was devastating at the time, but my goalkeeper and I were able to laugh about it a year or so later and still joke about it today.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Passing all of my CPA exams and getting my CPA license was a big accomplishment.
What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I play sports as much as possible and love to travel. My wife and I have been to 10 different countries together.
If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be? I love to travel but hate the process of getting from one place to another, so I would have to say either teleportation or the ability to fly.
