Project Description

Xinru Nemeth, CPAAssociate

How long have you lived in the bay area?

Almost 10 years since I came to the bay area to attend college in 2009.

What is your fondest childhood memory?

My fondest childhood memory is one of those summer nights when the power went off and all kids came out to play in our campus yard where hundreds of thousands of fireflies were flying around.

What subject(s) did you study at College?

Accounting and Finance.

What was your first job?

Note Taker for one of my handicapped college classmates.

Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?

My parents. They provided me the opportunity to study abroad and have been so generous and supportive.

How has your career created value in your life?

It makes me happy that what I know might help others.

What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?

Well, meeting my husband and having a baby girl, as they mean the whole world for me.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

That’d be my first time taking an international flight alone to the States for college. The trip was supposed to be about 18 hours but due to flight delay the trip stretched to 2 days. I had to manage to book a new flight transfer on the fly. It was scary and exciting, and I got free food and new friends along the trip.

What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?

Pillow fight with my husband.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Completing the CPA exams — two passed when I was pregnant with Ariel and last passed when she was 3 months old.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking or running with my husband, playing with my toddler, and visiting farmer’s markets.

If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?

The power to create any super-human power I desire indefinitely.
