Project Description

Traci Finnerty

How long have you lived on the east coast?

I was born and raised in Southern California but traveled back East every summer beginning when I was 12 years old, eventually moving full-time to Massachusetts after college, where I now live on Cape Cod.

What is your fondest childhood memory?

My fondest childhood memory is camping at the Rincon with my brother, cousin and grandparents.

What subject(s) did you study at college?

I started as a Business Administration major but switched to Spanish after spending a year abroad living in Madrid, Spain.

What was your first job?

My first job was working at my aunt & uncle’s small market, where I loved running the cash register and counting money.

Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?

My aunt Pam.  She has always been an extraordinarily successful business owner with an admirable work ethic that demonstrates what it takes to realize dreams.

How has your career created value in your life?

My career has given me the opportunity to work in non-profit accounting, where being the backbone of an organization’s mission is very fulfilling.

What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?

The biggest event that has happened is 9/11. I remember being stuck at a hotel in SFO as I was flying back east that morning.  I woke up to 100’s of texts and turned on the news in total shock.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

Traveling all around Ireland and Spain, while living in Madrid.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Putting myself through college while working.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to trail run and race, paddleboard and spend time at the beach with my Jack Russell Terriers.

If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?

A mind reader.
