How long have you lived in California?
I was born in Vietnam and came over to the US when I was 9 years old. I have been living in San Diego, CA most of my life.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
My fondest childhood memory is swimming in the river with my friends in Vietnam.
What subject(s) did you study at College?
I started as an interior design major, and switched to Finance and finally settled into Accounting.
What was your first job?
My first job was working as a telemarketer on campus during college.
Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
My Uncle, who raised me when I came to the US. He taught me well, giving me encouragement and wisdom, and help shaped my career.
How has your career created value in your life?
My career has brought me out of my shell. It taught me people skills, perseverance, and that hard work builds a strong and rewarding future.
What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?
The biggest event that has happened is 9/11. Very sad to see so many deaths, animosity, and debates on TVs and around us.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
That would be my trip to Honolulu, Hawaii with my husband and our first child when she turned 4 years old. We enjoyed the beautiful island, nice beaches and delicious food. It was perfect weather, beautiful place to relax, eat good food, and plan on going back soon.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
My beautiful family and kids are my joy and accomplishments. I couldn’t be more proud watching them grow, work hard in school, and try their best in Jiu-jitsu every day. Be able to provide them with things I didn’t have when I was growing up.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, cook good food, and take my kids to Jiu-jitsu competitions.
If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
If I could have one super power I would love to be able to fly so I can visit and travel all over the world.
