How long have you lived in Colorado?
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago but moved to Colorado in 2006.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
My fondest childhood memory would be myself and my 6 siblings piling into our family van and road tripping to Grandma’s house in Florida every Easter.
What subject(s) did you study at College?
I started as a Math major but finished my bachelor’s in Business Management. I am currently finishing my MBA with a concentration in Finance & Accounting.
What was your first job?
I begged my parents for a paper route when I was 7. This led to my mom waking up at the crack of dawn every morning to follow me in her car ensuring I was safe.
Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
My husband has been the most supportive person in every part of my life. He also challenges me to grow, I wouldn’t be where I am without him.
How has your career created value in your life?
My career has brought me life experience that I could not obtain from a book. It also has brought so many wonderful people into my life that I would not have the chance to meet otherwise.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
Costa Rica was incredible, I stayed in a little cabin outside of Gulfito on the Osa Peninsula and explored the rainforest, it was amazing. Pura Vida!
What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
My youngest child is consistently twisting sayings and mispronouncing words, it’s hilarious. His most famous blunders are “I still does” and “Taco Piesta” instead of Casa Fiesta, it’s still impossible to get him to say Chic-fil-A properly.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
When I was 20, I dropped out of college to start a business. It was a terrible idea and I ended up going back to school a few years later, but I learned a LOT. I’m proud that I was brave enough to take the leap and was able to turn a failure into a lesson!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My family and I are foodies, we love going out to eat! I also read a lot, mainly cheesy fiction thrillers. And of course, I love date nights with my husband and hanging out with my 3 amazing kids (including embarrassing them at school events).
If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
Teleportation! I would love to see the world and that seems like an efficient way to do it! Plus, it would be pretty cool to zip on over to Italy for a pizza during my lunch break.
