1. How long have you lived in the Bay Area?
I was not born, rather found, at Candlestick Park following the NFC West Divisional Playoff game in 1983. At least the die-hard 49er fan in me believes so. Real answer: born in Pomona, CA in 1983 to two wonderful and amazing individuals. I have lived in the Bay Area since I was 5 years old, calling Almaden, Campbell, Cambrian, Santa Teresa, and Sunnyvale home throughout the years
2. What is your fondest childhood memory?
During summer vacation all the kids in my neighborhood would meet bright and early on the school blacktop down the street from my house and play pickup hockey from sunrise to sundown, nearly every day of summer. These are some of my fondest memories from a carefree childhood.
3. What subject(s) did you study at College?
Economics. When it came time to select a “concentration” within my Economics coursework I gravitated towards accounting as my core focus. Leave it to economics to make something like tax accounting seem exciting by contrast.
4. What was your first job?
Sandwich maker at Togo’s. I could make an Italian combo in less than a minute. WITH all the produce and condiments. I was kind of a big deal.
5. Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
My wife. She has given me the encouragement, consultation, and the flexibility to pursue the career path I’ve chosen and the love and support needed during some of the more difficult or challenging times during the throes of tax season when the hours can get tough and the days long.
6. How has your career created value in your life?
My career has made me one of the most popular people I know in the first few months of every calendar year. You won’t believe the old friends and acquaintances that come out of the wood work every year to “catch up” on our friendship when the tax deadline is right around the corner. A tax accountant is never short on friends during tax season!
7. What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?
The tragic events of September 11th, 2001 and the resonating impact that event has had on our Country and our place within this world. I can still recall vividly the moments the planes crashed into the WTC Tower as I was up watching the stock market opening bell on TV.

Exploring Belize and the rustic inland and all its adventures as well as the tropical and relaxing beaches and coastline that the country has to offer during my honeymoon with my wife Ashley.
9. What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
Getting a dog. I know this seems like kind of a boring answer, but literally every day I have some encounter with my goofball of a dog, Otis, that makes me stop and take notice and laugh. Pets – and I imagine children too, but can’t speak from personal experience – really are a lot of fun and never cease to entertain you.
10. What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of accomplishing a state of mind whereby I never have any regrets. There are many career and personal accolades and accomplishments I’ve achieved but the underlying accomplishment I feel the most proud of is that I’ve never felt like “I wish I could go back and do this or that differently.”
11. What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy playing ice hockey and following all the major sports, music and attending concert performances, attempting to become a home brewing craft beer master, and above all spending time with my wife Ashley, family, and friends and their families.
12. If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
The power of foresight. As they say hindsight is 20/20, I’d love to have the ability to foresee the future to allow me personally and professionally to make the best decisions and investments of my personal time and resources and my clients’ time and resources.
