How long have you lived in the Chico?
I was born and raised in Santa Maria, CA and lived there until August 2017 when I came up to Chico for college. Haven’t left since!
What is your fondest childhood memory?
When I was a kid my parents decided to take a Christmas trip to San Diego for a Chargers game. It was the last game of the regular season and ended up being bumped to a primetime game and basically became a playoff game. Chargers ended up winning!
What subject(s) did you study at College?
I started in Business Administration and took an accounting course my first semester and ended up putting my emphasis in Accounting.
What was your first job?
My first job was at a car rental agency as a rental agent and car washer.
Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
My grandpa, he was the first and only family member to go to college and graduate. He always pushed getting a degree and going into business.
How has your career created value in your life?
I’m still early in my career, but I have met a lot of new people and I’m constantly learning and expanding my knowledge.
What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime?
The pandemic, I feel like this has been something that has affected everyone in some sort of way the past couple of years.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
After college my family took a summer trip to with some family friends to Oregon and Lake Shasta. We went river rafting, and ziplining in Oregon and then had a houseboat with 5 families in Shasta.
What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
When I was about 5, I was at a big family picnic in a park and my cousins were jumping off of the swing set near the end of the swing (not very high). I decided I wanted to do it too but did it while I was about 8+ feet in the air. I didn’t land it like rest of them.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Graduating college and becoming financially independent.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I try to golf, go for hikes with my dog, or just hanging out with friends.
If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
If I could have one super-power, it would be flying. I could travel places faster and getting aerial views of places would be neat.
