How long have you lived in Northern California?
I grew up in Vacaville (sort of bay area-lite-ish, right?) and lived in Santa Clara for a couple of years when I first started at RLA. I now work in the Chico office.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
All the traveling I was able to do with my parents; I still can’t stand being at home for too long!
What subject(s) did you study at College?
I started with a Music Industry & Technology degree and while I still have a passion for music production and playing instruments, I felt an accounting degree provided the creative outlet I desperately needed.
What was your first job?
Mowing lawns! Really helped kindle my love for allergies as a teenager.
Who has been the most influential person to you in your career?
Kushim of ancient Sumeria. As far as people who have existed in my lifetime, many people in different roles have been there to mentor and encourage me at various points in my career and I’d feel awful shining the spotlight on just one of them.
How has your career created value in your life?
It has helped me become a lot closer with family members I never knew I had asking for tax advice.
What do you consider to be the most significant world event that has occurred during your lifetime? You know what they say about getting political in the workplace…
What is your most memorable travel experience?
Hard to say as they’ve all had their meaningful moments with other people, but most beautiful is probably a tie between Glacier National Park and Cancun, Mexico.
What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
Spending nearly all of a three-hour $80 whale watching trip staring at the floor trying not to throw up because I chose to be spontaneous and go with the smallest boat on the choppiest day possible.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Constantly improving in life.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Play instruments, go to shows, go on hikes with my partner and my dog, travel when I’m able, and cook when I have time on the weekends.
If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
Being a scientific genius.
